I am so tired of calling or e-mailing people to get together for dinner or just for coffee and get the answer "I'm so busy with the holidays approaching, etc., etc." I'm single and most of my friends are single and have no children. I work two jobs and do volunteer work but I can always manage to find a little time to meet with a friend if they want to get together. When are people going to realize how short life is? Isn't there an old saying, "don't put off tomorrow what you can do today?"

I totally agree with you. But, there really is never a perfect time....so just make due with who ever shows up.....and tell the others what they missed out on.....they'll show up the next time. So, if you can chill with only two friends today.....do it, next time it may be four......
hey, so where is this restaurant again?

I feel the same way everyone is just running crazy these days. I'm single and my friends are married. I have managed to make friends in college so we go after class.

People Can make the time if they're into to it/you. Life is short, true. Decide which friends you want to keep asking & which ones you want to "leave the ball in their court". If they don't make time to get together with you ad infinitum, I'd say time to quit trying, they're obviously not that into you.
