yeah they used to say some funny things, laughing on the other side meant you where being smart or cheeky and they would hit you a slap and knock the smile right around so it on the other side of your face, shut your mouth and eat your dinner was another one

I suppose the only way you can laugh on the other side of your face is if you have a very tight facelift that has gone wrong, if you know what I mean

Because by the time her hand had stopped connecting with your flesh , your mouth and teeth would be sitting prettily up around your left ear!
If she ever went so far as to actually carry through with her threat that is.
Mine never did, for which I thank her prettily!

I think she meant that she'll hit you, your face will be distorted and your mouth will be on the other side.. Kinda funny thought huh.. 'Coz I don't think anyone would be laughing after that.. lol..

She also used to say "if I ever catch you doing that again..." I was never that happy about her catching me the first time...
