Is the manufacturer's warranty (Panasonic) still valid? If I decide to follow through with it, what payment method should I suggest? Seller wrote the following in an email to me:

"1. Product is shipped brand new in box. Shipment is insured.
2. Shipment is confirmed with the tracking Number.
3. After you successfully verify that the item was shipped (Shipment Status), payment must be made. I will choose a quick and easy service for the payment process.
4. Shipment will be received in 2-3 Business Days.
5. RETURN POLICY: As soon as the package arrives, you will test the product and if it does not match your expectations, you will return it within max. of 5 days after arrival date. I will send you the full amount back, you will send me the product in the original box, and you will pay the return shipping and insurance costs."

1) Is it a retailer or an individual ?
2)The Shipping cost may overcome any savings you get from a local store
3) Gray Market (This is what it sounds like) Normally is not covered by the Manufacturer's Warranty
4) Returning the TV would be very expensive also (If they take it back)
5) You get more legal protection against fraud if you buy it in the states.

I live in Romania. My advice is DO NOT BUY.
1. In Europe/Romania voltage is 220V, in US ... 110V. Even with an adaptor I`m not sure it will work.
2. In Europe/Romania we use PAL/SECAM television system, in US ... NTSC. Even with an adaptor I`m not sure it will work.
3. Shippment costs will go up the roof.
4. VERY IMPORTANT : do you trust the seller ? Will he refund you if you can`t use the item ? Or better, will he ever send you the item, after taking your money ? Many online sells are SCAMS.
I hate those assholes who scam people, they make our country look very bad, and trust me , Romania is not like that. It`s just that we have so many assholes scamers !

do NOT buy it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for one voltage is totally diffrent in europe than here, u wouldn't be able to play it without a transformer and they suck up tons of electricity and then u still have no guarantee it works. Shipping from a country like rumania is extremely expensive and it would more than likely arrive blown and unusable and then you would have to pay a lot of money to send it back and i doubt you would ever see your money again. Europe has 22 V instead of 110 any military person that has ever been overseas can verify this for you

Probably unacceptably high risk that isn't worth it and I wouldn't do it. But it's your money.
