My son will be born in January. His name is going to be Richard but we will call him Ricky. I need a good middle name for him. I was gonna go with Gavin, but thats my doctor's name and it's kinda weird to name him after my doctor. I thought of Chase, but that doesn't really flow. I'll spare you the spelling of his last name, but it sounds like Oh-pell-yan. Any suggestions?

You have a two-syllable first name and a three-syllable last name so a one-syllable middle name would probably flow best. How about James?

Another idea is to consider using your maiden name.

LOL... I went to school with a kid named Ricky Gavin!!! I don't think its weird to use the same name as the doc... as long as that isn't WHY you're doing it.

Richard Hall (ok, I admit that this was my dads name!!)
Richard James
Richard Dean
