Yes-I was 10,and my brother (who was 12) and my mother all saw a man materialize at her office when we stopped by on a Saturday so she could pick up some paperwork. We were the only ones there-and we saw him fade away. It turned out, prior to my mother working there,a man had died of a heart attack at his desk.

There has been study into what has been dubbed the "God Spot" which is a group of regions of the brain that are excited when we believe we are in the presence of God or having some type of spiritual experience.

The idea came from review of many cases of individuals who had claimed to have seen god after serious head trauma. The region of the brain is close to the right temple.

It has been suggested that figures such as Joan of Arc had experienced the same type of head trauma immeditely before their apparent visions.

The experiments have shown that when exciting the region of the brain under study almost all candidates (even athiests or agnostics) experience a "spiritual" presence with them in the room.

Why is this the case? Perhaps evolution realised that we would develop society and for the first few thousand years to get through people would have to believe they had something waiting for them in the afterlife.

Search "god spot" and you should find some info on this phenomenon.

A lot of people have differing views on what a spiritual presence is. For the most part, people who claim to have had experiences of what is called spiritual are usually people with unresolved issues from the past and hense the title ghost is also associated with it.

People who have no need to resolve issues from the past do not have a clue about this subject and they are usually the people who say there is no truth in it. These people are more lucky than they could ever understand. To be suseptable to spiritual encounters involves accessing a part of the brain, mind and memories held in the phusical body at times of stress or lack of energy. A spiritual presence does not have to be seen by the human eye for it to be present either. If your a really good listener, you can actually hear it speaking through people who are not even aware that it is there. These people usually pass off events as a normal part of daily life because of the fear involved in studying the subject as most people are scared of the unknown. Something that tends to go with this subject also is the lack of evidence in support of the claim. Dealing with something from many years ago involves the aspect of time and if you can remember something that somebody said to you many years ago, how can you ever proove that? But you know it happened...
In the same way, if somebody did something to you many years ago that had a massive impact on the way you were living back then, that is something that could still be unresolved in your mind, therefore your brain and therefore your body. So until the day comes that the individual has dealt with their issues and is no longer something from the past that is present at the moment and disturbing their well being, they are suseptable to spiritual experience/paranormal experiences and therefore spitual encounters do actually exist but for the most part they are at a personal level.

For myself, I can truly say I have had spiritual encounters. At the start, I sh*t myself but as time went by I started to adjust.

Good luck on your own exploration.

Spiritual is a religious term, off the Holy Ghost. A spirit is not. I don't think I've ever seen a ghost of a person. But I have seen beings not human but intelligent.

This year, myself & others saw & spoke with Nature Spirits (Dryads), who are associated with trees. We also managed to capture their images on camera. This all took place at a spiritual centre in the Brecon Beacons National Park.

I've seen myself in the mirror. That's as spiritual as I'll ever need it to get. I'm alive. Miracle or not, it's really something.

I have never seen a full body apparition, but I have seen a shadow in the shape of a person. It was not my shadow. I checked.
