You have the unique opportunity not to fall into partisan politics which is destroying our country. Don't pick a party, use your heart and your head and pick the right candidate. The one you think can do the best job, not who you're told to vote for.

I have to say wanting to fit into either of these parties in this day and age is stupid, don't be stupid.

You can start by going to www.firstgov.gov. This is the official website linking you to all branches and levels of US government (Federal/State/Local and Legislative/Executive/Judicial). Browse around to find your Federal and State congressmen and senators who represent you in your district. Go to their websites. Read about what they are doing and how they vote on issues. Asses for yourself whether you agree or disagree. These issues effect you directly, so it is important to be informed and to vote. You can also watch C-SPAN. I have found this channel to be a no-spin sort of daily documentary into U.S. government. You can read Newsweek (middle of the road on politics). Get an RSS feed from the Associated Press (AP) IT'S IMPORTANT TO GET YOUR INFORMATION FROM MULTIPLE SOURCES THOUGH. Make sure you read periodicles from left, right, and middle points of view so that you can get a grasp on the big picture, make your mind up for your self, and convince others to your informed opinion. Use your brain though, not all news media is unbiased, be sure to research and critically think about what information is being fed to you. Best of luck to you.

What's so confusing? The democrats are the party for all of the people, regardless of race, color, creed or financial status. The republicans represent the rich, the large corporations and the special interst groups. So which are you?

Just go to their main sites. It's better to look at the PEOPLE going for office, not the party of the people going for office. People who stick soley with their parties are pretty ignorant.

Don't listen to Insanity. Republicans are not all rich. I will bet my last six bucks on it.
