Jeff Buckley, by far. He had so much potential, and Grace is very easily one of the best albums ever..

Wow what a great question. I looked at the list and cannot possibly pick one. I often wonder if John Lennon were alive today and collaborated with Eddie Vedder, what kind of gift would that be for the music world. And Jeff Buckley, wow, what are we missing there. He was amazing and so promising. I think if Kurt lived, we wouldn't have had this HUGE backlash with the pop tarts and boy bands and trashy pop that we deal with now.
Wow, you gave me something to think about today. LOL

John Lennon. People will know his music long after any of the others listed.

I think John Lennon. He was very innovative both in his solo career and with The Beatles, and he was always trying new things.

John. If he wrote great songs like Strawberry Fields Forever when he was 26 and Imagine when he was 31, who knows, what would he would write now!

I would say Buddy Holly, he was one of the pioneers of rock n roll, and was the basis for many musicians to come, including the Beatles.

Oh, consider John Denver. Not only a singer But a songwriter. If you research you'll see how creative this man really was.
