My driver door on my car always freezes.?

Question

I used the lock deicer in the keyhole and that took care of the lock but when I got in my car I couldn't shut the door I slammed it and it would swing right back open. I looked at the latch and it would move when I put my hand in there but still would not shut. What is the deal?

it should have alot of resistance and not move with your finger real easily if so then its broken or the door handle is pulling on it, stuck

if it has good resistance then its probalby in the closed position you will need to pull and hold either the inside or the outside door handle and flip the latch thing in the door that you moved, so that the cut out in it is open and facing the latch part in the door frame that goes in it when it is shut
