What are the best hardscape materials used for installing driveways?

Of course concrete would be best if its in your budget,but you can also use asphalt,or A type of gravel which is A by product of steel making process called slag,and A 3/8 pea gravel is also cost efective. Down fall of gravels is they dont stay put as well. Dont work to hard.
