If you had surgery for Crohn's disease then I sincerely sympathize with you. I have had Crohn's disease for 43 years and have had 6 bypasses for same and diarrhea with Chron's disease is the norm. I have found that I can not eat anything with any spice, i.e., cinnamon, black or red pepper, allspice, cloves, etc. Also, no milk or milk products or products with lactic acid (olives, cold cuts, white bread commercially prepared, 1000's of other products), no raw fruit or vegetables except for bananas, mango, pears, etc. No greens and absolutely no raisins or nuts. Vinegar will also exacerbate the problem. So will meat sauces such as A1 or Heinz 57. MSG will eat you alive. Absolutely no fried foods. Syrups and jellies (but for some reason, not honey) are anathema to me as are any foods with seeds or seeded rolls.

So, with all of this is life over? Absolutely not. You can learn what your body will tolerate with a food diary. There are so many good things to eat and ways to prepare them. You will also learn the location of every bathroom within 100 feet of where you are at any given place. Contact the National Crohn's foundation or check with your internist/gastroenterologist for a local chapter. Live! Have fun! Beat this disease. You got a whole lot of living to live. Don't let this disease run your life. You run it by learning the limitations --- and then, work around them. I'm pulling for you.
