Will take you about 30 minutes on tube/DLR (Docklands Light Railway) and will cost £4.60 or will take the same time roughly (maybe a bit less) in a cab and cost £15. Enjoy!

When the Isle of Dogs was being re-developed, old wharves and warehouses were transformed into luxury apartments priced at £1million and such like. The people who already lived on the island could not afford to buy the front door of these places, let alone a whole home. The agency responsible for the re-development of the area ring-fenced some properties as 'affordable housing', ie. hovel's for the great unwashed. Now you can walk out of the front door of your slum (if some thieving bugger hasn't nicked it) to be confronted by multi million pound pads. Get in to your old banger (if some tow rag hasn't filched the wheels) and drive off behind a £250,000 Bentley or Lamborghini to spend the day toiling for a crust while the Canary Wharf Bankers spend the day eating Oysters and Pate de Foi Gras swilled down with a vintage Champagne as they bugger up the world economy and line their pockets with the tax payers hard earned dosh. Me? Cynical? YES!

Islington is around 4 miles, by car on weekend it will take around 25 minutes but on week day a bit longer 45 minutes depending on traffic. By DLR you will have to go to Bank station and change lines and probably take around 40 mins.
I dont travel by bus so cant tell you how long that would take.

Too far walking, 30 minutes or more by tube and DLR. Why not try the Sunborn Yacht Hotel for surreal onboard boat feeling, its also near the M11 so you can get home quick too.

Depends whether you mean the township or the borough. From the nearest borough border - just over a mile. From the township - nearer three
