Not necessarily! It depends on the state you live in, but if she left with the intentions of returning in a day or two, then no, it would not be considered abandonment. If she left, saying she was never coming home, or left a note that said she wasn't going to come back, then yes, it could be considered abandonment.
Her being in rehab has nothing to do with abandonment. The court will look at that just like they would if she had to go into the hospital for medical reasons.

Be happy she is in rehab. Worry about the rest when she gets out unless you are looking for an excuse to get rid of her.
