Take the modem with you when you leave. It sends a strong message about who is in control, and you don't need to spend time or money on software that prevents internet access to certian people.

The real problem isn't the internet, its that your kid doesn't respect you enough.

Don't play games with him and jump through hoops to temporarily solve problems. Kick his *** so they don't end up brats.

(software solution may depend on how you connect to the internet, what OS you use, or if you want to spend $)

Here is a tip, you may uninstall Internet explorer, but quess what.. windows explorer is the same thing with a diffrent logo, you can go to C://windows and retype the address bar to www.ca.com and it will take you there if your connected. I suggest go to be safe online. There is a link on my page if you will like.. It is a no overide filter that you can control.. or, you can get a filter from www.ca.com or other fine makers of parental controls. The one from ca takes care of every port so no matter what they are using... it will block what ever it is your wanting to block. Good luck!

Uninstall Internet Explorer. Click on Start, Settings, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, and find Internet Explorer. Click to remove it. Then restart the computer and it's gone!

If the kids are computer savy, it would then be a good idea to remove all reference to Internet Explorer. If they can find iexplore.exe, they can get it to reinstall. Go into My computer, local disk (c), Program files and find the Internet Explorer folder. Delete it and all its contents. If you ever need it again, you will have to download it, but in the meantime, you will have stopped them! Good luck!!!
