Now that I have your attention....I am curious.....

I have been doing my Christmas cards and it dawned on me I have every deceased family member still in my address book. I can not bring myself to erase them. It seems....rather disrespectful, and I like seeing their names (I have always done my book in pencil, odd quirk, but I hate scratching out things)

Is there anyone else out there who does the same, or do you erase them/scratch them out?

Your not alone, I do the same thing. I also make a notation of the date they passed away, next to their birthday. Seems like someone in the family always ask the date, so I always have a reference to fall back on, and when I'm going thru my book and see their name, it always makes me smile and think of them..................

I think that keeping their names, and knowing you like to see their names just makes you feel you're still connected with them and or you may be feeling like erasing them would be forgetting them.
Don't erase them. I don't erase names but I keep things that a deceased one has given me and even though it's broke I can't throw it out Some friends have asked why I keep such an old thing I just smile.

Maybe I am part of the new regime but I keep all of my address' in my computer now. It's easier to change and I don't have to erase anyone if I don't want to! I know I have a few deceased names in there also but like you I choose not to delete them in this case.
Good question

My address book is pretty darn old and I am hesitant to buy a new one for that same reason...there are many family members that I have in there that have passed on.I'm sure one day I'll have to get a new one but for now I'll keep it as is.....

I cant take them out either but what i do is take that whole page out & stick it with important papers so I can keep it but still have up to date phone numbers or get new phone book.
