Does this seem like a problem with the USB cord or the drivers? I moved recently and when I set up my computer again I couldn't get the printer to work, all the lights go on and it seems to work but when I hit print I get the message that it's not connecting to the computer. I've tried using the tests in my computer's help section, but nothing works. Any ideas would be great, thanks.

Also, my computer is a Dell Inspiron 1150 laptop.

I just uninstalled the drivers and it won't let me reinstall them because it says the computer and printer still aren't connecting. If it is the cord, what kind of USB cord would I have to get to replace it?

Nevermind, just figured it out by clicking around here on Answers--the A/B kind, hopefully that will do it.

Check the drivers first, then test the cable. You could also try installing the printer on someone else's computer. I have yet to find any answers in Windows help.

i offered a clean printer and tried to uninstall my Dell. once I attempt to try this it tells me that that's working so can not uninstall it. I particularly have rebooted and it nonetheless does an analogous factor. It in basic terms presently switched from my new printer to the Dell which i don't have anymore. at first i did no longer be responsive to what replaced into incorrect.
