If, it not need a Tune Up.
Moisture in the Fuel, add some injector cleaner, maybe two bottles.
Check the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) with an ohm meter, you have to remove it to get to the prongs to test. If, it OK and usually they only weird out at low Throttle.
Check the Oxygen Sensor in the Exhaust. It up front by the Radiator and accessed from below. You need a Digital Meter to check it.
This all I can think of off hand. Mine is the TPS but, it clear up when I get up to 50 mph.

hi there does it do it in 3rd gear and in 4th gear also ?(auto matic overdrive)

does it do it at a certain rpm no matter the speed ?

if so then have fuel pressure tested

if not then id be having the transmission checked, also have tranny and engine mnounts checked as they are problematic on these cars they wear out prematurely and cause the entire drivetrain to be loose, there are several service bulletins on these cars due to this problem, we have two of these tauruses right now both 1995, engine mounts toasted on them just liek on all others out there, same engine 3.0L in ours,

good luck

if it's jolting like a horrible sound it MAY be soemthing like the u-joints, stalling? Not sure, just a suggestion though!
