I first read it when I was about 11 years old, and a dozen or more readings and over a decade later it's still one of my favorites.

I Loved The Book (In 8th Grade) But I Was Disappointed In The Movie

I Loved it! It's way better than the movie version. It's a great read and will keep you up all night to finish it. Also, there is another book S.E. Hinton wrote that happens after it, and Pony's metioned in it. It's called "That was then, this is now." I love her writing and suposidly, she's writing a new book to be published within a year.

I read it in 8th grade, I loved it. It is one of my favorite books. The movie was not as good, it wasn't as fulfilling as the book. I also read and watched "The Odyssey" in school, it was wonderful.

Great book, better movie, my students read it every year but they don't always share my opinion about how good it is.
