For some girls it is a way to start dancing with an audience.
For many though it is a source of income, since most of the girls have less than a High School education.
Some girls just like the sex and really enjoy this type of acting.

I can't say for sure, i've never done it myself, but I'd say the reason they do it is self esteem issues. You could argue that they have loads of self esteem because they can get naked in front of a camera, but I think half feel the need to be liked, whether it be in a "your a good person" way or an "i want your body" way. Sometimes the two can be easily confused, i think almost every woman can relate to that.

I think it has to do with the environment men usually tend to need for thinking. and it probably helps them create more trinkets to dangle in front their ego. just a wild romping guess..
