I am doing a 4 page report on the gettysberg address and i can not find the information anywhere and i need to answer the following questions:what is it saying? why is important back then and today?And what is it talking about? can someone please help the paper is due wed dec.6 and i have to get a good grade on it. its a college assignment for government class. Well... it would be helpful to know what you thought of it when you read it and explain what phrases you're having trouble understanding. It's a very short speech. The questions you're asking are the essential questions YOU should be answering. Read the speech and research the time period in which it was given. As a college student, of all things, you should realize that. How will you learn anything about it if someone just hands you that? There are certainly plenty of resources about that famous speech. Please research on web and learn that many school children have learned about this in elementary school. Take a couple of words and think about the meaning...Four score and seven years ago--This was during Lincoln's time and the civil war...a young time in our nation's history and beginning...Enjoy surfing and learning about this great speech and era...
