I'm assuming their are schools or apprenticeships...but how do you find out which ones are reputable? I also heard that you can be certified in 10 days at some schools which seems kind of short. Is this what professional hypnotist that you see go through? Is this all that is required or is their follow up training one most go through?

My first request is that you remain ethical. This is not a toy.

The certification is brief as is the training. Yet you can not practice just anywhere. There are laws. Check the local laws first before investing in that education.

My course was a 100 hour program. I have a strong background in therapy and theology already. It was wonderful and worthwhile. In practice now for four years, my forte is increasing study skills and reducing stress and test anxiety.

Contact a alternative medicine magazine or a practicing hypnotherapist or behavior specialist in your area.
