Sometimes (rarely) its just about sex, but usually not (even with guys). Cheating is symptomatic of something seriously wrong in the relationship or seriously flawed in the emotional makeup of the cheater. It is important to find out what the real reason for the cheating behavior is - it's not always easy or fun. Good Luck!

It could just be about sex - but it could also be emotional
There are different types of affairs
An emotional affair is when the spouse will only talk with another person about everything in her life and what she wants to do
A sex affair is just that - sex
I have been a victim of both. I think that an emotional affair is more evil than the sex one, because it's telling you that you are not there emotionally for the spouse to speak with you about how they are feeling, etc.

There's the emotional aspects of an affair. The two involved parties don't have to have sex in order to have a deep emotional bond with each other. The emotional bond is a problem because the innermost thoughts and feelings of the married person are being conveyed toward and person outside the marriage. This can ruin the married couples relationship.
Think about it like this, your wife is telling her "boyfriend" everything wrong about you and how much he (the boyfriend) makes her feel so much better. The wife should be telling the husband these things so he has the opportunity to address the issues. Since the husband may never know of his flaws, he never gets the chance to correct them. The wife makes the boyfriend the priority in the relationship trio. (just an example)

Its a betrayal of trust, breach of a contract to eachother and to God. Betrayal of heart and mind. Its always something deeper than just sex because your love for eachother should over power that sexual urge, if your love isn't strong enough than your relationship was failing to begin with. People who cheat usually aren't happy in their current relationship and signs were there, this is just a way to act out on it.

I would say it is not about sex, but rather getting attention, that they do not feel that they get at home. I have noticed from personal experience after being married partners some times get so involved with all the world around them, They forget that they need to pay attention still to their partners, Just because we marry, is not a reason to ignore , abandon, or otherwise lessen our affection for the partner. in fact it is a short cut to infidelity

It's sex and nothing else , there is NO love, NO passion, NOTHING! This is just my opinion from past experience and why he cheated, after 15 years, still haven't gotten a reason why, it happened and the pain is still felt by me. I mean you give your heart, mind, body and soul to 1 man and he does this to me and his children. I am still with him, that is 1 way to punish the bastard, having to look at me everyday and know the pain I feel.

I think for some people its' just the excitement of it. Sometimes there are problems in the marriage that are not talked about and people look for a way to hide from it. And then again, sometimes it is just that.. sex.

The reason can be a multitude of things, but ONE THING for Sure it all comes down to a spouse being selfish & decietful.....BOTTOM LINE!
