I see to many questions on here like (Smoking is bad and it smells)
or (second hand smoke kills). I just want to know why get on smokers so much? After all the very high taxes fund schools and other great programs. So what do you have to complain about? I smoke outside in the cold in a corner away from everyone If you don't like the smell, well there are plenty of people that don't smoke don't shower and they smell pretty bad to me. I am asking If you are a non-smoker to give it a rest. You don't have any idea what smoking is or does to you. If you are a smoker that quit and want to answer with I quit and I feel great ohh really. Known to many its all good till things get hard then right back to a pack a day.

Ok Me messing up the atmosphere smoking nope that would be you driving your car around not smokers. The production of cigarettes bad for the environment LOL its a rolling machine it messes up the atmosphere no worse then a candy factory. Second hand smoke is real that is how they give lab rats cancer. They don't inhale it on purpose. However if your outside or in your car with a window cracked open no way you will get a good hit. Last bit for right now, I will never blow smoke in anyones face unless they are in my face with your anti-smoking bs and I tell you to stop or go away and you keep going I will take a big hit and choke you out mid-sentence. If that doesn't work well I finish my cigarette and walk away with a big grin. It has only came to this a few times some people don't know when to stop.

I am a nonsmoker but I support smoking. Medical tests have shown an increase and that people are more likely but it has not been straight proven. As for the rest it is because we, as Americans, are too concerned with what is trendy. Right now it is trendy not to smoke and to jump on the "let's blame the smokers bandwagon". It's easy.

Well, to be obvious, smoking is bad for your health and those around you. Plus, it smells. And it smells bad! I hate having to hug a family member or a friend that just had a smoke. It's nasty.
I used to smoke cigs and clove cigarettes and other stuff so I know that it's addicting and all that crap. But seriously, it's really just an oral fixation or a crutch that you use like some use food or coffee or shopping or whatever... It's an addiction which is the first reason it's "bad." It's also gonna kill you and maybe someone close to you and that's "bad," right? Those things are chalk -full of chemicals and pollutants so not only are you destroying your lungs but it's also not great for the air and the environment. Lord only knows how bad the production of the things are for the environment... If you roll your own, good on ya. It's way better in general, except for the lack of a filter, of course.
Look, if you are considerate and don't smoke around me, then go on with your bad self. If you want to kill yourself slowly, it's up to you. I just don't think it's the smartest decision one can make and I also don't want smoke blown in my face in a public place.
Plus, it stinks.

this is nothing new. there's always a few groups that society will blame all the ills of the world on. in America i think it's smokers and gays that get blamed for every thing wrong with the country. it just keeps the sheep herded masses from worrying about the real issues. i compare it to the Salem witch hunts. and you're right most findings about smoking alone causing cancer is bull ****, it's was all political, opinionated stats. genetics play a huge part is who gets what disease, hence people like George Burns smoking to his death at 90+ with no cancer. i mean pollution is mostly made up of cigarette smoke right? that's what's eating a hole in the ozone right? wrong!!! so keep believing that cigarette smoke is the all mighty evil, while my tax dollars take care of your little brats in school. i don't have children, why should my tax dollars go to something that is not a direct benefit to me?? oh wait that would be mean wouldn't it?
for every one who has a RIGHT (i must find the web page that lists all the " i have a right to..." stuff) to clean air, why don't you complain about cars???? factories and the like please don't tell me you believe that smokers make more pollution than cars, you're kidding your self if believe that.

I hope your not endorsing smoking? As it is bad for you but, on to your question. I don't point my fingers at smokers and I think the people that do point the finger at smokers are hypocrites because they do bad things too as well, we all do. I think they point the finger at smokers because the message of how smoking is bad for you is so huge that they think it's some huge act of rebellion to go against it anyway after all the warnings you've had. It also hurts not only yourself but others with second hand smoke. Although, I see that you don't subject others to second hand smoke which is commendable. So the fact that even if you don't do it but could still be negatively effected by it also makes it a big deal. Those are some of the reasons smoking is such a fixation in our society.

I am a smoker, however, the smoke does stink, it makes your clothes smell bad, it is bad for your health. And as a smoker I have chosen not to smoke in my own home or car, to spare my family from the second hand smoke. My choice, second hand smoke does kill. And it is a horrible addiction.Nicotine addiction is harder to break than the addiction ot heroin. Very true, I have cut down and I am trying to quit again. I feel your pain. Good luck and God bless****

I quit last year, but I don't complain about others who do, most of my friends still smoke and I'll sometimes even go outside in the cold with them so we can continue our conversation, it's not a huge imposition. I think a lot of people are just mindless followers, it has become taboo to smoke, so we'd all better condemn smokers.
You may, or may not, come to a point where you'll decide FOR YOURSELF that you want to quit smoking, that's when it will happen, not when people are guilt tripping or pressuring you.

They say that second hand smoke leads to lung cancer...but have you ever seen any evidence of this on the news? I for one have never heard about someone getting lung cancer from second hand smoke. My mother and my father smoked in our house from the time I was born till the time I moved out and my lungs are perfectly healthy.

I get a little upset when people I care about are heavy smokers. I selfishly want them to live a long life because I don't want them to die from something that's preventable. I also don't want to see people I love suffer from emphysema. It can make someone angry when they see someone killing themselves. Just like how people get mad when someone talks about suicide. I smoke about a pack a day but it doesn't make me happy that other people are doing it too! I 'forced' my mom to quit when I was 10 because it scared me. Of course, now that I smoke, I leave people alone about it.

All these people who were cologne and perfume really stink. They make my eyes water. If I had things my way I'd breathe my smoke on them so they don't stink.
