It is unusual for us to get a really bad hurricane here, the real danger is to the people who live along the coast. They usually come here when there is a hurricane warning. I live about 30 minutes from disney and that is a good time to come ..........especially when the kids are in school here. The weather is still warm enough to enjoy blizzard beach and the lines are not as long as in the summer time. I would highly recommend to stay at a hotel
on disney property because of traffic problems.........it is a big headache to come and go onto the disney property everyday......when you stay there you have so much more time to enjoy the parks and disney has all kinds of trasportation for you.

september is usually the busiest month for hurricanes, however this year there werent any in florida. there is no way to predict what will happen, however, disney will allow you to cancel or move your reservation if a hurricane happens (this happened to us 3 years ago when there were all those storms...charlie, jean, etc) also, i have a friend who stayed at disney during a hurricane. the parks had to be shut down, but the resort guests were well taken care of, all the resorts have enough food on hand, they had activities for the kids etc. if you are going to be in a hurricane, better to be at disney than a shelter in some high school gym

i live about an hour from orlando, and believe me, we dont get many hurricanes here. if there is a hurricane, we only get a lot of rain and maybe some power outages. you should be fine. if you're that concerned, then maybe try for around january or february. those are the off months for tourists, so it wont be as crowded, and the weather wont be too bad.

If you think about it, have you ever heard of Disney being destroyed by a hurricane? Nope..its too far inland...really dont worry about it and you should be perfectly fine! Enjoy your trip!

I went the last weekend of September this year. The weather was perfect. It didn't rain once. The only one problem that we did have was the love bugs. They were a nuisance.

I doubt it. i became in NC in the time of hurricane bill and the purely huge difference became that there have been huge waves and we couldn't bypass contained in the sea. till it surely hits time-honored Florida i does no longer be annoying - although there will be some better rain. Have a impressive vacation!
