Is there a way of finding out who is playing before the gameweek closes? Example: I had Young on my squad for Tuesday but he didn't play? Boothroyd has a lot to answer for.

Watch pre-game shows for latest updates. Most players listed as probable will play, questionable is 50/50 and doubtful, unlikely.Its players listed as "d", day-to-day that is tricky. Just get all latest info and use sound judgement, like is back-up healthy.

In the Ashley Young situation, the player phoned in sick late on and was still expected to play up until about 6PM.

Keep an eye on teletext, websites etc...

If you're playing Yahoo Fantasy Football you can click on the "Game Day Decision" tab when you are on the "My Team" page. Once on that view you can also get some extra details and advice from the sub-tab "Fantasy Matchups"
