I'm a girl moved into a new town this year, and In June I met a friend #2 through a friend #1, and we all became very close. Friend #1 moved away, so I kept in contact with #2 and we called each other from time to time. In August, I got in a major car accident, so friend #2 called to see if I was ok and If I ever needed anything, that I should let her know. I told her no problem, but thanks for the offer (I didnt wanna take advantage of her), and we talked on the phone every week after that. In September, I called her to see maybe if she wanted to hang out sometime (she knew I didnt have a car yet: I was still shopping around) and she said oh I'll call you. My birthday was 9-26 and she knew that also and didnt call me. Recently, she decided to call me (11-17-06) and left a message. I guess I dont need friends like that so I didnt call her back. Then she called again 11-29-06. Should I swallow my pride and just call her, or should I continue to avoid her and just move on?

Doesn't sound like she was a close friend to begin with does it to you? Why swallow your pride? I'd just move on because a friend like that will only do this to you again. Unless she had some tragedy that stopped her from calling you in the first place. I've had friends like that promise to call and never do, so I don't count them as friends if they can't call sometime around the time they promised in the first place. I hope this makes sense to you. There has to be nicer people around that you can befriend.

Good Luck!!

this sounds like children playing in the play ground, you are friends, or supposed to be, it is you that has to make the decision as to call or not, as for your birthday what were you expecting a surprise party, please remember that the phone works both ways, and if your are going to hold to the rule that I can't call you until you call me, then your phone is going to remain silent, and you will be alone.what is , is, not what you want it to be
