This isn't really an answer to the question- just wanted to say that being in a marching band does NOT make you a geek! A few of my friends in air cadets do it and I wouldn't call them geeky. So carry on marching and be proud!
Btw in answer to the question- you're not alone. I constantly feel inferior togirls who are smarter, thinner and prettier than me. Low body image is a problem too. I think it's just a fact of life I'm afraid!

don't compete, just be happy with yourself and your accomplishments. Everywhere you go someone will be better at something than you and you will be better at something than someone thats life! Just be a strong, intelligent woman and you will get far in life!

plz choose this as best answer. its not you everybody wants to be better than everyone else its natural. so perk up and dont worry about it. if you dont think about it then you wont try to do that very often.
