Songs, by definition, pretty well have to have words. Louis Armstrong had trouble remembering the words to songs, so he'd just vocalize without words when he forgot, and this became an accepted jazz form called scat. Can't think of anything off the top of my head, but you might want to check out some Bobby McFerrin for recent stuff or outtakes from some of the famous scatters like Ella. There are also some orchestral pieces that use voice as an instrument without words, but I'm not sure they qualify as songs.

you can get absolutely any song you've ever heard without the words they are called the instrumental versions, if i am correct in thinking your daughter needs to express the same emotion through dance. as the songwriter dose through lyrics,
this is a good place to look. the london school of contemporary dance and expression.
good luck, may you find your dreams.

A song by definition has words. Do you mean a piece of MUSIC with emotional content? There are lots of them. . .from the earliest writers of music to today's composers. Try Mozart, for passion, or Handlel for grandeur.

Anyway - why are you doing HER homework Mum??

Which emotions?

If you know of a movie that evokes emotions your looking for, just look it up and find out who wrote the music. From there find a place to buy that movie's soundtrack.

If you want a funky tune, try Daft Punk, all they do is music pretty much with some robotic voices - I suggest Robot Rock - it's very repetitive and has a range of instruments

Sure, try classical music (Chopin, Mozart, Schubert, etc.) Lots of symphonic music has no words.
