What happens when you live? I mean, do you just become something? Or nothing?

It is outside what science can answer. Contrary to another answer, it is independent of what you believe. You can believe that pink elephants in dresses will dance at your funeral, but that won't make it true.
What we know:
Immediately upon death, the body starts to decay. There are several methods to preserve the body with varying degrees of success.
What we don't know:
We don't know about our souls or spirits. That is what we tend to call the part that makes us alive and thinking beings. This is dealt with by religion and philosophy rather than science.
What I believe:
I believe that we have souls. I further believe that those who accept Christ Jesus as Lord and Saviour have spirits having been quickened, made alive spiritually, by God. Our souls are eternal. The soul will either spend an eternity with God or absent from God. Put another way, the soul will either spend an eternity in heaven or in hell. That is my belief. For information regarding how to accept Christ, a very easy and simple thing to do, read the Bible or e-mail me for specific scripture references.

I hope you choose to believe as I do. I also hope that you do not learn first hand for a long time.

You lose brain function, your body allows rigormortis to set in, you lose your bowel function and your bowel movements come out from what I have heard....

Eventually you either get autopsied to determine the cause of your death and they cut you wide open like a side of beef or you go directly to a mortician where they drain your blood and replace it with embalming fluid. You get prettied up and put in an outfit picked out for you by your next of kin. Hopefully you will be put in a coffin.

Otherwise they put you in a cheap pine box and they put you on a conveyer and you get crispy fried into ashes once they shut the metal door. Once the process is complete they shut it off and they scrape up the ashes. Sometimes they don't even know if they are all yours so you might want to be buried in a coffin. They put them in an urn and you're ready to go.

That's about it. If you go underground you are worm food. If you are in the urn you are dust that someone either opts to spread around in the air, around a tree or perhaps in the ocean or maybe they will keep you on their mantle as a keepsake.

Depends on your religion and beliefs. No one has ever come back from being long dead to tell us what happens.

I died briefly I think I know what happens and it is nothing to fear. I felt that I was a cosmic dust particle floating in the sunlit sea of the universe. It was a very good experience. I felt the choice was mine to continue to float or fly away and I wanted to float so I became unconscious and when I woke up some hours later; I was alive.

Well, I've been a Spiritualist for 45 years. I have spoken to spirits, touched them & recorded their voices. The spirits themselves have told me that they once lived on this earth & have "died" But, the truth is that they, in their new state of existance, are more alive than we are.

Bible says: "It is appointed unto man once to die, after this the judgement."

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him (that He died for there sins) should not perish but have everlasting life."

"The cold wind blows from town to town but leaves not a hint of what is to be-
there may be little or much beyond the grave but
the strong are saying nothing until they see"

You become whatever you were before you were conceived...

Most likely Pure Energy...

The Body is just a shell - "beings of light are we" - YODA (Star Wars).

PS. Sorry for the 'Star Wars' reference - It just explains it simply!

Your molecules return to the randome nothingness from whence they came....you're just made of star dust like everyone else....no less, no more.
