Difficult is not necessarily expensive.

Giving birth to my daughter (the best thing in my life) was free but certainly didn't come easy.

It's much more emotionally fulfulling to walk down a beaten, curving country path (a la Walden) than it is to buy a candy bar from a vending machine - and although the walking is much more physically taxing, harder, it is also much cheaper. :) The reconciliation can be made by distinguishing the difference between hard 'work' for the sake of enjoyment and hard 'work' for the sake of earning money to purchase enjoyable things. Free things aren't necessarily easy to obtain/retain - a relationship, for example ... or a nice physique ... or a knowledgeable mind. The value system in the latter quote is not a monetary one .... and thus 'nothing good comes easy' doesn't necessarily reflect working to earn the ability/commodity to obtain the things you want ... although it does indicate working to directly obtain the thing you want. The 'free'-ness of the 'best things' in the former quote probably DOES refer to monetary cost ... and so something can be, in this sense, hard to get and free all at once.

Let me rewrite the quotes for clarifications...

"The Best things in Life can't be bought"

"Nothing good comes without effort"

For example, a relationship with one's spouse or child is often one's most valuable thing, and one's greatest accomplishment. But that relationship was not 'easy', but built slowly over time.

Whoever said that did not know what he was talking about.

The best things in life are not free.
Because people do not appreciate the true value of something they have not payed for.

The best things in life are those that you have worked hard to obtain.

Nothing good comes easy...
This is not necessarily true either. It does not have to be hard. People just make it hard by not using their brain.

I prefer the say:
You only get what you are paying for.
Now that is true. But many people don't believe it.
They actually think that they can get something just as good for half of the price.

both statements are based on generalities...'Best things in life are free' illustrates that the best things in life such as air we breathe, joy we feel, love, ability to see beauty in sunsets, sunrises, nature, etc., and so many other things we take for granted, are all free.

the statement of 'nothing good comes easy' is actually misleading, as many good things come easy, such as the very act of breathing, our heartbeats , these good things, which keep us alive come very easy, and natural without any effort on our part.

However, 'nothing good comes easy' when it is applied to success in business, or profession simply means that to get goo results a person needs to work hard at it with planning, and effort and skill.

So reconciling the two statements is possible if you accept that there are many of the best things in life that are free, but that you need to work for those good things that are not free.

i think it's right most of the best things came from emotional feeling beetween two humans and when it's become hot it's rarely the good moment to think about business but the good things of life take time to come up even to appear clearly ship in the mind that's why patience is beginning of wisdom

"Free" is not a synonym for "easy". One may think that love is a "best thing" in life AND that it is free, but as we all know it isn't "easy" to find and maintain love.

the "good" is being able to see that
best things in life
are free--
but that's not "easy" to see
for every one
