Yes it can, as long as you are willing to forgive and move forward. If this partner makes a habit of infidelity then you may have a real problem.

Yes, a relationship can survive infidelity but only if both parties are willing and committed to working through all the problems, resolving the feelings of betrayal and working on trusting each other again. It's not a short process and takes work.

Yes, but people need to be clear. A relationship is like a contract. But if you don't spell out exactly what you want and expect, things can get messy. It's best to do this in the beginning, and to lay down limits. Once the limits are established (and actually, this is what a lot of fighting is about), the only fair thing to do if you no longer want to abide by them is to renegotiate, or leave the relationship. Cheating is tacky and dishonorable.

That depends upopn the circumstances surrounding the affair. I know for me it's a deal breaker. i was engaged to this guy I dated for almost five years only to find out 6 months before our wedding that he had been unfaithful. I tried to forgive him and move on, but the trust was gone. Let him go, you deserve better

Yes I think it can, but only depending on how unfaithful the person was and how involved you are in your relationship

The relationship can survive, but don't expect love to be present.

It depends. In most of my experience, once a cheater, always a cheater, but if they are comitted to change and willing to work things out you may be able to salvage things. I wish you luck!
