If you watch a differnent porno movie every week, you might be on a path to more serieous problems. The comedian Richard Geni put it best, "Porn is like a drug. After a while you build up a tolerance to it and you find the same stuff just doesn't do it for you anymore. You start out with a single tape, a couch, and a simple TV... the next thing you know you become like Phantom of the Opera locked away inside the house, blinds closed, curtains drawn, a padded Lazy-Boy set in front of a 50 inch screen with Dolbe surround sound, empty boxes of tissue and bottles of lotion scattered all over the floor and a dog that aswers to the name "Spot" ...though that wasn't his name when you got him." =P
In all seriousness though, there is truth behind the joke, watching porn is kinda like a drug. Typically it progresses in the following degrees:
1st Degree - Starts with regular "Vanilla" sex (brief oral foreplay, a few pokes in the the woman's baby-maker, and a pop shot) and scene or two with some light lesbian action. The common format of simple mainstream porn.
2nd Degree - More specialized versions of "Vanilla" sex, basically normal vaginal sex with a particular type (naturally busty, asians, blacks, redheads, MILFs, fatties, pregnant, etc.) of woman. The majority of pornstars are thin, blonde, with implants, so its only natural to branch out and see other types of women having sex.
3rd Degree - A slight step up with specialized "Vanilla+" sex, where there's a bit of anal. Only a short couple of minutes with a finger, toy, or the guy's **** (nothing prolonged or extreme) added in with the normal sex. This has become the new "normal" for modern porn.
4th Degree - Fetish-type themes like all-girls (lesbian), all-guys (gay), Hermaphodites & Transexuals, all BJs & popshots, anal (prolonged penitration, but nothing extreme), only solo-scenes, or only hand jobs.
5th Degree - Extreme Fetishes themes like group sex, light bondage, role-reversals, fantasy domination, fisting, enemas, piss/scat, or huge/unusual objects.
6th Degree - The worst cases progress into ultra extreme and mostly illeagal fetishes like rape-themes, bondage torture, beastialiy, incest-themes, and pedofilia-themes where pain, dominance, and control are the subject and not consentual adult sex.
I think most people that watch porn have a collection that typically consist of:
10% - 1st Degree
20% - 2nd Degree
45% - 3rd Degree (the new "normal" for modern porn)
15% - 4th Degree
10% - 5th Degree
6th Degree porn is not about sex and only disturbed individuals would find it arrousing. Normal people don't collect such porn.
Another thing about porn is that it only depicts sex and superficial relationships. Pornstars are putting on a sexual show as part of their job, they don't necessarily do that as a normal part of their sex lives. There are SOME women that are into oral, anal, fisting, role-reversal, light bondage, group sex, lesbian sex, and other non-vanilla sex, but watching porn makes it easy to think that ALL women are into these types of things. In real relationships women aren't going to be into everything a guy has seen in pornos. In porn the sex is instant, in reality couples need spend considerable time together, build a soild trust, and know each other well before getting into "porno-type sex" or they risk ruining the relationship by placing more than half the reason on sexual connection and less than half on non-sexual (emotional, physical, mental, and social) connections between each other.
If you're in a relationship and you're still secretly watching porn when your partner is not around means your relationship is not as close as it should be, and you're looking to porn to satisfy the need things your partner can't or won't do. A close loving relationship should have enough sex and the type of sex that keeps both people happy and sexually satisfied. Porn in the relationship should be watched together, or at least revealed to each other and only hidden from the kids, not the partner.
If you're single and watching more than 2 hours of porn every day, you might have a problem. Definately have a problem if you watch more than 3 hours of porn each day. If you download porn from work you have a problem, since you're so obsessed (or stupid) you're willing to risk getting fired just to watch porn. If your hiding your porn from your partner, you have a problem either with the relationship or the type of porn in your collection.
Like with everything else in life... moderation is key, too much of anything can become unhealthy.
