My boyfriend wanted an R/C car more than anything as a kid but never got one. I want to get him one for xmas but am clueless and the more I look on line, the more I'm not sure what to get. He wants one that goes fast and "does stuff". I have a budget up to $100 to work with but would like to stay around $50-60 if possible. The one I saw that looked the best was the Hot Wheels R/C Fury but it doesn't do any tricks. Anyone have any other ideas? HELP!!!!

You could go to toys r us and get a 50 -60 dollar one that is a stunt vehicle, but I would say that before you buy it check out a local hobby shop like hobbyown, or towerhobbies.com. By checking out a hobby shop you can see the more higher end r\c cars and trucks. If he's good with his hands and likes fixing things this would be great for him because these cars you can literaly take apart and rebuild and upgrade as you go along. that's a huge disadvantagewith walmart or toy store cars ...you break them and thats it, theres no fixing them because they don't sell replacement parts. Getting one from a hobby store he can wreck(it will happen) and he can fix it or take it to the stre and for a small fee they can fix it. Beware though because after you introduce him to the world of r\c hobby he will want another car or truck. plus if theres a local track he can always take it there and race against others.

also if you like check out this site it might help even more

hope this helps

Try looking at the R/C cars and model cars that they have at sharper image. My mom got my dad a few cars from there and he loves it.
