Sadly, yes. I think it would be very successful because shoppers wouldn't even have to speak with an operator to place their order. That must be what the 4th channel in digital television will be used for the most. Imagine Sears, who sponsors Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, offering all the items seen on the show, at special sales prices the night of broadcast. It's very scary for the wallet.

I guess it could happen but I doubt it. The only people I could see using it are old people who aren't interested in computers and the internet and people who just cannot figure out online shopping. But even with old people they may not figure out shopping by remote either. For most people, online shopping is already there and is totally convienent.

Hmm. It seems like it would work, people are ordering movies and tv on demand these days. I think the public would definately go for it. At least the younger, more tech savy generation that is growing up.

Never underestimate the power of late night infomercials and credit cards.
Really though, it taps into impulse shopping.

I wouldn't because I wouldn't trust where my credit card information is being stored and who can access it. I prefer the online way or in person way.
