If I thought that my insignificant life would make a difference. If I thought that my death would do more than just add to the hundreds of thousands of people who have already given their life in the name of "peace". Then yes, I would die for it.

Your question is really too open ended.
If I am such an important person that my death would bring world peace then yes I would die for it.
So my children and later progeny could live safe and secure lives and become the reality of the vision that God had when he created Man.
The only man on this earth, ever, to die for world peace was Jesus Christ. And, before His death he left us a blueprint for living. In His parables the message from God is clear and if you study and think about them you will understand and see the truth.
Would I fight and die for my belief in these teachings?
Yes.
Though His words have been misinterpreted over the centuries and great evil has been committed in His name (see roman catholic church). This was not his purpose or intent or teaching.
The path to world peace is through understanding Jesus and supporting those governments that allow the freedoms as expressed in the constitution of the United States of America. I am not a citizen of the USA but the constitution is a beautiful statement of the rights and protections all human beings should enjoy.
Jesus and the great democracies are the path to peace.
It just takes time and a conscienceness

But what if once I die, the next day they have a world war 3..maybe if it was permanent world peace then maybe I would die for it...

World peace is a fiction of the imagination.
Cannot happen. Will never happen.
And sooner than later, we will come to realise that multi-culturalism was a huge mistake.
