1851 - the sewing machine was invented - maybe put some thread in the bag.
1856 - Safety matches were invented..not sure if you're allowed to take matches, but maybe just an empty book.

id go with bible as one of them lol for the whoel witch thingy and look up the decade 1840 to 1850 to see like relics of te past and like make replicas of them or get pictures ad btw do u go to woodbridge high this project sounds just as lame as the eacher who likes to assign it !
