After the second days play in the test, the best the Aussies can hope for in this game is a draw.
That's your 5 - 0 gone.
Come on England.

No. Australia's side is based around players who are too old to last for a five match series (that's why Ponting didn't enforce the follow-on in Brisbane - McGrath and Warne were not fit enough to go straight back out and bowl).
There is also, I believe, the potential of bad weather affecting this next Test in Adelaide, so you can never rule out the possibility of a drawn game.
I also believe that Collingwood and Pietersen showed at Brisbane that the Australian bowlers can be played. All we need is for the bowlers to come good (and Adelaide wickets traditonally offer help to swing bowlers like Hoggard) and England can at least keep the series competetive through to Sydney.

The Aussie look fantastic, it would be hard to imagine anything else but a 5 - 0 whitewash.
I dont think ive seen a team start a series with so much intensity for a long time.
Warne & Magrath proved that you dont lose skill with age.
Great stuff.

Mate I said 5-0 before it started. It won't rain in their summer so we won't be able to hold out for a draw somewhere along the line.
I'm still sticking with that even after the good first day's play.
265-3 or whatever it is - it's set right up for the middle order collapse.

There's a good chance of 1 of the remaining 4 matches ending in a draw

England will definitely win a Test, but it needs to be this one to keep the Ashes a contest.

The same thing happened last year, when Australia won the first test. In the next test, McGrath was injured and Australia lost that match.
This year, Australia won the first test and there are already signs of McGrath's injured foot might force him to miss the second test.
I think even last year, it was the dreaded foot of his which made him to miss the second test.
