Tons of baking and cooking. Making tamales for the first time this year. Also a gingerbread house, a few different kinds of cookies, and a couple of cakes/pies for the holiday meal with family.

Oh yeah, what's sad every year I say next year I'm not baking anything I will just have pedicure, manicure, hair done, dress up and enjoy the Holiday, but no, I have sickness....
I start by waking up at 6 am turkey and ham are in the oven, soup in slow cooker, I start with cookies and cakes.
By the time guests arrive I'm all sweaty, smelling like gravy, I yelled at my kid 200 times, my husband pissed me off, I can barely mouth words like marry Christmas......I'm not happy with the gifts I chose, I do need help

Yes, I always do....but my biggest holiday effort is Divinity. Every year for 35 years I have tried to make it. Now the family all place odds and bets on the success of my Divinity. Until last year it always failed and we had to put it on cake. Last year somehow after the first batch it worked - and a lot of my friends and family lost their bets. My Divinity obsession is so well known amongst friends and family; I finally sat down and wrote a story about all my trials and tribulations with Divinity over the years. Now everyone asks for it like the Christmas Story.
We make gingerbread for holiday time - I make it with Guinness Stout and fresh ginger and it is soooo good and we make my Great Grandmothers sugar cookies too and decorate them
I love to be asked to help make tamales with my Hispanic friends, it is their custom all the women and sometimes men get together at Christmas to make the tamales for the feast. I am not much for the "Cabeza" though and I usually just get a little piece of meat off the cheek.
We always have to make my Grandmother Grannie's cornbread dressing for everyone. It takes a long time to make but my son can eat a Vat of it himself and he only gets it at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Now I have diabetes it's really tough on me but I get a lot of happiness giving other people sweets and drippy Divinity
Blessing of the Season to All..........and HO HO HO

Yes. I do some cookies and candy, several pies (some for gifts) and I really like trying new stuff on my husband. Everything I bake is safe for diabetics because almost all my friends are sugar-free.

I hope so. I want to bake some cookies with walnuts in them like I did as a kid.
My parents always make fudge and my Gma always makes all kinds of treats.
