It is a nice word for killing someone. Not that I am opposed to it but that's what it comes down to. Like if you were to overdose your dad because he was suffering from a horrible disease and it was killing him...you get the picture.

When you get a pet put to sleep.
In a sentance example:
We had to have Sparky euthanized because his cancer was causing him so much pain.
I've never had a pet euthanized really, but I used the sentance as an Example.
