Okay me and my husband have been ttc,i am regular on my periods.But, this month my period was 5 days late and only, lasted 2 days and was very light, at first bright redish, then brownish mix'd with clear discharge.Its very strange for me to have this happen, because my periods are usually 6-8 days long, and very heavy?I dont want to bother taking a pregnacy test? OR SHOULD I?Help???

there is no harm in taking a test and if that comes out negative then wait a few more days and take another, if that is still negative then i would make a visit to your doctor so that they can find out what is going on, this could be very many things either your period is doing a change on you and that was part of it, it could be implantation bleeding but that usually occurs a few days before your period starts sometimes on the day that your period is supposed to start. it could be another serious medical problem or it could be something really minor, are you under any unusual stress, did you recently move, any problems at work, did you and your hubby have an arguement, anything like that could be related to stress which could have caused your period to act the way it did, or it could be that you are wanting to be pregnant so badly that you are actually stressing yourself out without knowing it which could be causing you to have had the type of period you did. but to be on the safe side go speak with your doctor he/she would be able to better assist you with your question , best of luck to you.

Then Again My Doctor Told Me That Some Women Have A Period Their Whole Pregnancy.

Hey, some of them are cheap ... stores like Dollar General and the Dollar Tree carry them for about a buck. Get a store brand at Wal-Mart or Target. Go ahead and try it.
It's possible to get period-like bleeding when you're pregnant. It could also have been implantation bleeding. Or maybe it was just a weird period. There's no way to know without taking a test.

It could be implantation spotting (which sometimes happens around your period, or an odd period.
I had one in October. I swore it was implantation because it was soo light & different color. I had a blood test done & it was negative.
If it's implantation bleeding, a HPT should be positive in about 4-6 days (length of implantation & time for the hormone to develop in urine).
Its up to you if you want to test again or not.

I would take a pregnancy test just to be sure, but sometimes when this happens it means your progestrone levels are low and you could need supplements. I have had that happen in the past where I miscarried early because of my progesterone levels. Its always a brown discharge... What you might have been experiencing could be implantation you should take a pregnancy test as soon as you iss your period or around the time it is do or take a blood test in a week

When in doubt take the test. It will at least give u some peace of mind. I keep a few xtra tests stowed away for your kind of situation. Good luck!

take a test it really could be it i dont want to get your hopes up but it sounds promising i have benn ttc for 5 mothns now i am due for my period in like a week i am hoping this is my month good luck

sound like you maybe pregnant. sounds like implantation bleeding. take a test in a couple of days. good luck to you.
