It is estimated that the point of no return is about 10 years.
Oh yeah it's not "saving the planet" but keeping the climate stable for life as we have enjoyed it for the past 100k years.

At this point the global warming has accelerated to a point even if we stopped everything that causes global warming by man right this moment. I doubt we would see any effect 4 generations from now. Its like a mile long train moving at 80mph and telling it to stop it will take some time.
One reason is there are way to many humans that assist in the problem in just general day to day activity globally.
Second reason part of it is a natural process the Earth does anyway.
The Earth will be fine, its us that will have the problems along with most life forms on the planet. We could make a difference but to many people dont care or are afraid to stand up and attempt to make changes due to $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ basically.

Global warming is a theory that has been shown to flawed. Most scientists now refer to 'Climate Change'. You may think there is little difference but if it is simply a change in weather patterns made worse by pollution - then it is a natural phenomenon and reasonable steps may help.
If Global warming is not the true cause trying to fix something that is not broke could doom us!!
Restricting CFCs and greenhouses gases are good for the time being but what if the 'Global Warming' people take it too far?
If carbon dioxide levels are decreased too far the Earths atmospheric balance will be corrupted. This will alter the ratio and as oxygen levels increase against carbon, methane levels would decrease dramatically. This would allow the Earth to cool. Oxygen levels need only increase a hundredth of a percent of present-day oxygen levels to convert the methane atmosphere completely. Once the Earth is snow covered it might takes millions of years to recover!!!

No, there is not much we can do to save our planet from global warming.
First, human contribution to Greenhouse gases is estimated at less than 1%.
Second, the Earth goes through cycles of hot and cold. Many little ice ages and fry cycles have plagued Earth's history. The cycle we are in right now is actually very normal.
Hope this helps!

The planet has been here for 5 billion years and will be here for another 5 billion. The earth is not in danger from Global warming... it's all of the lifeforms that are living on its surface that are in danger. They'll just be fewer of us in the future- as we'll have very little to eat.
It will take a very different set of world leaders than we have today. It's unlikely that we'll be able to stop the current trends.
Lotsa' world cup ski races have been cancelled this year... no snow in europe.

no, too late. can you imagine anyone voting for a politician honest enough to tell them they have to cut their standard of living to save our civilisation. people like tony blair cry their crocodile tears and talk about solutions but do nothing, in fact they instigate policies that have the opposite effect like putting the duty on bio fuel and recycled vegetable oil at a higher rate than petrol and diesel and encouraging air travel by trying to build new airports. very little research is being done on alternative energy sources and blair is backing big business by pushing for state subsidised nuclear power. mankind will not become extinct, we're too tough for that. all of our modern infrastructure will collapse because of the climates affect on food production. the planet will survive, mankind, rats and cockroaches will survive but our civilisation will be gone.

No. The planet goes through this cycle of warming and then freezing. It's done it many times before and man had nothing to do with it..

Global warming will lead to the next ice age. All systems trend towards equilibrium.
17 more inches of snow per year in the northern hemisphere will cause the next ice age.

end respiratory. Or a minimum of end exhaling. because whenever you exhale you supply off carbon dioxide that is a greenhouse gas. exceedingly those who would vote for Hillary favor to stay with those instructions.
