omg..i am so sick of this pc crap..when we were kids my mom and dad let us watch anything that didn't have raunchy sex scenes in it..all of my friends parents were the same..and guess what..we didn't grow thinking we could do all the stuff we saw on tv..this is a ridiculously grand excuse thought up by a bunch of do goody parents who failed to teach their children right from wrong or who maybe just had a bad apple. To blame someones future actions on what they watched on the tube when they were a kid....well, do you think you can climb up buildings cause you saw spider man do it? are you going to try? And as far as if it was too frightening for the 4 year old, did she appear frightened, did she act like it after that? If so, don't let her watch something w' too much violence in it again. But, no, i really don't think either of them will be scarred.

not a great idea the language is just to much for a 4 year old (they will repeat) and the violence / drug use, not what you want any one under 18 to watch. It's simply to much for them to process, the line between right and wrong is blurred because you said that this was OK, Just a little FYI a child's personalty is determined at the age of only six now yes this can change from bad to good or the other way around, the reason behind the child personalty being determined at the age of six is do to the fact that we as humans learn more in can absorb more between the ages of 3 and 7. So with that being said there is a reason why we have rated G, PG, PG-13, R (17), NR / X (18). type ratings it's for development and being able to process fact from fiction, so in the future try to let them only watch movies fit for them to watch.

May I ask you 2 questions as part of the answer? Why do advertisers spend so much money trying to push their product on TV. and Why do all the kids at school dress like their TV heroes? It is because we are influenced by what we watch and with out the ability to discern consequence of action by at least a couple of layers those influences for both kids and adults will effect both our world view and how we treat others. Now you have some maturity over your brother and sister do you have the ability to discern what is age appropriate? I bet you do and best of luck making good decisions in the future

Never watched it, but if you had doubts then you should have made the 4 year old go to bed. 14 is plenty old enough to watch a movie about gangsters (I'm guessing that's what it's about).

I think it would have been alright for the 14 year old, but the 4 year old......there might be some things in that movie that may affect her psychologically because after all she is in her impressionable years

The 14 year old maybe, that was about the age that I saw it, but it might of been too much for the 4 year old.

The 4 year old won't know a lot of what's going on but she's gonna end up seeing this stuff anyway, so keep it on the low, and the 14 year old's fine as long as he knows it's wrong to shoot people and sell drugs and whatnot. Classic film.

The 4 year old probably won't understand it and the 14 year old has probably seen worse. The most you will have to worry about is them repeating words they heard. Classic movie by the way.

Definitely not OK for the 4 year old, probably not OK for the 14 year old. I suspect if you had asked your parents, they would have said no on both accounts.
