What is causing the door not to open? If a door is closed we can not go through it unless the door is opened prior to exiting.

It sounds like your door is jamming but the details are being obscured by lack of spell checking. Try checking the words and expand on what problem is.

Instead of tinman, manybe you should have used scarecrow. Try opening the door before attempting to go through it. Most doors open best if you twist the metal handle sticking out from the door. If this fails, call a friend and ask if they can slip thinly cut pieces of meat through the opening at the bottom of the door for you each day.

we are not physically able to go through solid objects.
i bet you bumped your nose several times before realizing you have to open the door first.
