Martin Luther King:

"n December 10, 1964, Martin Luther King Junior received the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo, Norway. King was only 35 years old when he accepted the honor on behalf of the members of the civil rights movement. This made him the youngest recipient of the award in history."

Click on the 2nd link for a list of all the winners of the Nobel Peace prize.

Whoops - having checked the list myself, I found a later, younger recipient:

"Betty Williams (born 22 May 1943) was a co-recipient with Mairead Corrigan of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1976 for as a cofounder of Community of Peace People, an organization dedicated to promoting a peaceful resolution to The Troubles in Northern Ireland. "

She was 33.

Yikes, one even younger yet (soory, she's a few months older.)

"Rigoberta Menchú Tum (born in Chimel, January 9, 1959) is an indigenous Guatemalan, of the Quiché-Maya ethnic group. She was the recipient of the 1992 Nobel Peace Prize and Prince of Asturias Award in 1998.

Hmm, I don't kmow - could be a tie between the two ladies. They both seem to have been about 33 when they received the award.

I'm afraid the answerer after me is wrong:

"Aung San Suu Kyi (Burmese: ; MLCTS: aung hcan: cu. krany; IPA: [àuɴ sʰáɴ sṵ tʃì]); born 19 June 1945 in Yangon (Rangoon), is a nonviolent pro-democracy activist and leader of the National League for Democracy in Myanmar (Burma), and a noted prisoner of conscience. A devout Buddhist, Suu Kyi won the Rafto Prize and the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought in 1990 and in 1991 was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for her peaceful and non-violent struggle under a repressive military dictatorship."

Suu Kyi was about 46 years old when she received the Nobel peace Prize.

Since the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded in October and Betty Wiliams was born in May, she would have been a few months younger than Rigoberta Menchú Tum, who was born in January.

The winner: Betty Williams. Her age upon receiving the prize: 33 years and 5 months.
