the foil is OK. they really dont' want you doing the whole head colorings where the chemicals can be absorbed by your scalp. and if your Dr. says it's OK, I'm sure it's fine.... he's probably been asked that a thousand times.

I asked my stylist the same thing. She said as long as you are in your second trimester like your doc said you will be okay. The dye does not touch your scalp when you get a weave or foil. Just let your stylist know you are pregnant and she can take the necessary precautions. Congrats marriage and the baby.

Everyone has different opinions on this matter.....I am 21 wks. pregnant and I've had my hair permed and highlighted since I've been pregnant. My mother, girlfriends and just about every woman I know has also continued to get their hair done during pregnancies and their children turned out fine
This is really a decision you should make
Congratulations on both the wedding & baby

i'm 20 weeks pregnant with #4 and that i've got honestly had my hair colored thrice with this being pregnant. the only hardship I honestly have had is the top effect is mostly a marvel. I honestly have found out to handle the outcomes and cant wait to be waiting to be a gloomy brunette returned fairly of autumn brown. I honestly have colored my hair with all my pregnancies and my kiddos are wonderful!

I've researched that for myself, and all of the information I found says the same thing... there have been no medical studies that prove any harm is being done to the baby. Howerver, there have been no medical studies that prove it's safe either... I wasn't willing to do it. There are a number of unexplained birth defect every year. Who knows what causes them. Why risk it? Do something else like extensions in a beautiful updo. Congratulations on your engagement.

go to an aveda salon or similar establishment that uses organic plant based dyes instead of the more stringent chemicals in other dyes. if your doctor says it is okay then I don't think you should have any issues. I'm sure the assumption is that you will dye your hair once for the occassion and are not doing so repeatedly during the course of your pregnancy.

when i was 14 weeks i asked my dr if i could dye my hair and they told me that the hair dye isnt like it used to be and it's not as harsh. BUt i held out til i was like 16 weeks just so i was well into my second trimester and everything seems to be fine, so i think you should be able to safely dye your hair before your wedding.

It's fine to get your hair highlighted. Dont worry. I got perms and highlights, etc. while I was pregnant with both my kids and they both are fine. In fact both of them even have above average IQ's.

Make sure you don't advance too far and go ahead with it. Otherwise, if there's any question, do not do it. Just go to a stylist and have them fix you up all nice and pretty. Is a hair dye really that important? The answer is no.

I think you'll be fine, especially since it's foil and not the permanent color that soaks into your scalp. You want to look nice for your special day, go for it!
