You can, but why would you want to? Elective Caesarians are for the stupid. If you can't be arsed squeezing it out the proper way, then shame on you.

The NHS are not obliged to give you a section unless it is deemed appropriate by medical professionals.
I have to say my first child was born by caesarean due to medical issues and I managed to have my second vaginally.
Having experienced both I do not know why some people would opt to be operated on as it is extreamly painful and takes a long while to recover. Not suprising when you think that they have to sew 7-8 layers of flesh back together.
I cant stress enough how much easier a normal delivery is, but if your mind is set then please research it and go privately. Good luck

Having a C-section is a mayor surgical technique yet at present is relatively user-friendly, so in the journey that your physician time table it you will desire to ask him all the questions you have approximately it, do no longer be terrified of asking even once you think of it would desire to be a stupid question, Your physician has to respond to and clarify you each thing. My 2d son replaced into born with the twine around his neck and replaced into introduced by using C-section, (he's 13 now), that's safer that way, so i'm particularly particular your physician will do an identical for you. they'll administer an Epidural that's a close-by anesthesia, you would be wide awake the completed technique yet you will no longer experience something out of your waist down, so there is not any soreness in the time of the surgical technique, you're husband would be enable to be with you the completed time, as quickly as they take the infant out they'll stitch you returned and deliver you to a restoration room the place they're going to watch for the anesthesia to positioned on off and later on your room, many times you will stay 4 days interior the wellbeing facility, and the restoration is long yet once you stick to all the techniques out of your physician there only isn't any issues and you have a delicate and speedy restoration. I want you luck and be sure you ask any questions which you will would desire to your physician and stick to each thing he tells you.

I had an emergency C-Section after 24 hours of labour, and trust me if I could have pushed her out I would have.
C-Sections are major operations. You take much much much longer to recover, if affects your milk production (sometimes) and it takes a lot longer to shift the baby weight because your body is confused and you cant exercise because of the wound.
I know labour is scary, but your body is designed to do it. Yes, it hurts but it is bearable and you do get through it - somehow you just cope because you have to. Dont let your fear lead to you to making a mistake like opting for a c-section. It really isnt worth it you pay for it for months.
Just relax, millions of women have done this before you and you WILL be able to do it. Have some confidence in yourself you will be so proud at the end of it all.
Good luck!

Babies born via planned or "cold" c-sections often have more breathing difficulties. This is thought to be because normal labour squeezes the baby and thereby stimulates the chest ready for breathing. A bit like CPR!!
C-sections are not the easy option people think. Talk to a midwife and an obstetrician.
Abdominal surgery is very risky. Blood clots, infections, MSRA, UTI's from having to have a catheter, bladder damage from careless surgeons. The list goes on. Plus the pain goes on for days.
Normal labour and a vaginal birth is better by far. For mother and baby.

Oh my god!! what is wrong with you? Vaginal births are fantastic, yes there is pain but it,s not that bad, besides there is pain relief for the bad bits or an epidural that takes it all away and leaves you able to concentrate on giving birth without having to "F and blind" at the medical staff and your partner. Give it a go, I think you'll be sorry if not. I'm not sure that you can have elective sections anymore, but if you're set on it ask your midwife, but unless there's any medical reason I think you'll have to push!

a doctor usaully has to make that call if its an emergencey u cant jsut waltz in and say ooh cesarean those are done in canse of emergency or if the babys just not aking it down, personally i think u shoud e able to coose lol but then that means u can never have natural births after that if u get a c section for fear of ur uterus ruipping thats why most doctors do it incase of emergencye or ur just not dilating enough, i mean if its that bad they usally got drugs for you and stuff, i would ask ur doctor about haveing a c section but most wont just cut u open becuz u say so, its a doctors determination if u neeed one or not

I think if you really want a cesarean you will have to do one of three things:
1. Have a baby in the breech position, multiples or other problem.
2. Pay privately to have one.
3. Convince your doctor that you have a phobia of giving birth and that you will defeitely not beable to even think of giving birth naturally. You'll probably have to see a psychiatrist/counsillor but if you really weant one then you're going to have to try hard to convince them.

Britney Spears did. But I think people that opt to have a surgery instead of natural are just scared and shouldn't do it. But whatever that is your decision. Good Luck.
