what is the likelthood that it will go bad if I put it on the tree now?And can I use just sewing thread and a needle?

I doubt it will go bad. Yes you just use sewing thread and a needle. You can also mix it up with some cranberries for some color too. I used to do this as a child and was thinking of doing it again this year.

It won't 'go bad' unless it's really damp in the room. It'll just get stale.

Thread and a thin needle is fine.

No, you meant likelihood.

It won't go bad, even if you put it on now. Make sure you string it while it is relatively FRESH, as stale popcorn is more fragile.

Popcorn doesn't really go bad unless its wet.

It will become stale. If you are not planning on eating it, it should be fine.

You may want to also add some cranberries to your popcorn. It adds some pretty color and the berries will dry- so no problem with them going bad.

It should be fine if you dont have little children and dont plan to eat it yourself.

the birds wont mind if its stale later.

DO IT. ITS A ONE TIME THING AND ITS NOT GOING TO GO BAD. JUST STAIL. BUT YOUR NOT GOING TO EAT IT. ITS PRETTY ON THE TREE TO.
