Well...we've reached an all-time low. Parents asking for answers to their children's homework questions. This is a exercise in creativity. Sit down with your kid and have him tell you things he would do if he could catch a star. Help him expand on it and put his thoughts on paper. Geeze...this should be under the topic of parenting not homework.

If your child is having trouble writing an answer to this problem, ask them some questions? Well think about night time. If you could just reach up and grab one of those twinkly little stars and hold it in your hand would you want to keep it? Now that you have your very own star, what do you and the star want to do together? Let your child verbalize the answer, possibly a lot of answers, and then she/he will be able to pull from their own information and write a complete and descriptive passage.

Why don't you sit down & brainstorm w/ your child. Have him/her list everything he/she can think of, no matter how silly. Write them all down for her/him and then let her/him pick the idea that's most appealing.
I think it's fine for parents to help their children get started on writing assignments. Help your child find a way to focus his/her ideas, remind him/her to use capitals and punctuation, and then step back and let him/her write on his/her own.

I refuse to answer questions for a child who has been given a question THEY need to answer! This is about creativity and writing skills, Mom. Encourage your kid to come up with an answer; or, are you going to do everything for him/her for their entire life? Get a clue!

Helping your child with her homework is commendable, Good Job, but encourage your child to use her IMAGINATION and then write it down.

I would paste it on my bedroom ceiling so that I could gaze at it every night.
