Oh, and please don't turn this into a USC/Florida bashing forum.

Honestly they should but I doubt it would happen. Hopefully UCLA beats them which I think will end up happening. I am sick of people saying that Florida plays nobody. 1st of all how in the hell can you be an SEC team period and not play anybody, that is just stupid to even make that statement. Take a look at Florida's Schedules

Southern Miss W 34-7
Sat, Sep 9 UCF W 42-0
Sat, Sep 16 at (13) Tennessee W 21-20
Sat, Sep 23 Kentucky W 26-7
Sat, Sep 30 Alabama W 28-13
Sat, Oct 7 (9) LSU W 23-10
Sat, Oct 14 at (11) Auburn L 17-27
Sat, Oct 28 Georgia W 21-14
Sat, Nov 4 at Vanderbilt W 25-19
Sat, Nov 11 South Carolina W 17-16
Sat, Nov 18 Western Carolina W 62-0
Sat, Nov 25 at Florida State W 21-14
Sat, Dec 2 (8) Arkansas

There are 5 ranked teams in the SEC including Florida and Florida would have played all of them after DEC.2 vs. Arkansas

There are about 8-9 teams that are most likely gonna go to a bowl game depending on if Alabama goes or not. And if you look at several of the unranked teams in the SEC they have winning records they just got crushed in conference play because the SEC is a tough conference. You have to bring your A game every night or you will lose no matter what team you are. There are 8 teams with winning records and 1 at .500: The conference is so good they cancel each other out. For example georgia is not ranked but they beat Auburn who is ranked #11. Look at the records of the Bowl elgible teams!

SEC EAST
Florida (4) 7-1 11-1
Tennessee (17) 5-3 9-3
Georgia 4-4 8-4
Kentucky 4-4 7-5
South Carolina 3-5 7-5

SEC WEST
Arkansas (8) 7-1 10-2
LSU (5) 6-2 10-2
Auburn (11) 6-2 10-2
Alabama 2-6 6-6

Tennessee is #17 and their only losses came against ranked teams in the SEC. And they barely beat Kentuck (17-12) who is not ranked but happens to be in the SEC as well.

Same thing with LSU. They are ranked #5 and their only 2 losses have been both against SEC ranked teams.

Look at South Carolina who is not ranked. All their losses came against SEC teams. Other than the 18-0 loss to Georgia(who is in the SEC and is not ranked) they lossed to Auburn, Tennessee,Arkansas, and Florida(Who are all ranked) by a combined margin of 21 poitns wich is an average of about 5 points. (Less than a TD) This includes a one point loss to #4 Florida. I can go on and on and give you examples of how tough this conference is. You can tell that they acknowledge how tough it is because they have LSU #5 and they have two losses.(To ranked SEC teams) They just are not taking that into consideration with florida because they want to see USC back for the 4th str8 time. Lets Examine USC schedule since people think Florida has not played anybody! Lets see how much more brutal USC's schedule is that Florida if at all.

Sat, Sep 2 at Arkansas W 50-14
Sat, Sep 16 (19) Nebraska W 28-10
Sat, Sep 23 at Arizona W 20-3
Sat, Sep 30 at Washington State W 28-22
Sat, Oct 7 Washington W 26-20
Sat, Oct 14 Arizona State W 28-21
Sat, Oct 28 at Oregon State L 31-33
Sat, Nov 4 at Stanford W 42-0
Sat, Nov 11 (21) Oregon W 35-10
Sat, Nov 18 (17) California W 23-9
Sat, Nov 25 (6) Notre Dame W 44-24
Sat, Dec 2 at UCLA 4:30 pm

Now as you see USC did beat four rank teams.
Oregon, California, Notre Dame and Nebraska. They loss to an unranked team in their conference! Oregon state is not ranked. I am not saying they are not good their record is 6-3 in conference and 8-4 overall but the point is that they were never ranked this entire season. Cant say its timing because Florida lost the week before USC did. Now take a look at the PAC 10 (every team)

C (Overall)

USC (2) 7-1 10-1
California (21) 6-2 8-3
Oregon State 6-3 8-4
UCLA 4-4 6-5
Oregon 4-5 7-5
Arizona State 4-5 7-5
Washington St 4-5 6-6
Arizona 4-5 6-6
Washington 3-6 5-7
Stanford 1-7 1-10

There are only two ranked teams! USC of course ranked high as 2 then a big drop off to California at 21. Thats 19 spots. This is not a tougher conference than the SEC. Lets look at the whole SEC including the bottom teams!

Florida (4) 7-1 11-1
Tennessee (17) 5-3 9-3
Georgia 4-4 8-4
Kentucky 4-4 7-5
South Carolina 3-5 7-5
Vanderbilt 1-7 4-8

Arkansas (8) 7-1 10-2
LSU (5) 6-2 10-2
Auburn (11) 6-2 10-2
Alabama 2-6 6-6
Mississippi 2-6 4-8
Mississippi State 1-7 3-9

Even the bottom teams in the SEC are competitive. In fact had not been for the hard *** conference they play in probably all of them would go bowling.

Lets look at Non-Coneference games because I know thats the excuse people are going to use for USC

Florida played the following in non conference games

Southern Miss
UCF
Western Carolina
at Florida State

USC played the following non conference games

at Arkansas (8)
Nebraska (19)
Notre Dame (6)

They beat the hell out of Arkansas the very 1st game 50-14. I give them that but lets be honest nobody knew anything about arkansas including arkansas.(If that game were played several weeks into the season it would have been different)

They beat Nebraska which is good opponent, and they are ranked 19th. And they are playing in the Big 12 championship(Due to the big 12 being entirely weak this year)

They beat Notre Dame which they get mad points for that but Notre Dame cant really count as a out of conference game because they are out of conference for everybody. But the fact is they beat them convincingly.

So all and all I will give USC that argument there non-conference games were tougher, but you know why because their conference is terrible. If you play in the SEC and you also play a brutal non-conference schedule you wont make it period. That is to tough. But even in saying that the non-conference games that Florida did play were not just give me's. Florida State is never a gimme for anybody no matter what type of season they are having. And Southern Miss is in 1st Place in C-USA East and Second overall. Now West Carolina thats a gimme game I will admit. UCF although sometimes competetive gimme game I give you that. I mean to be honest USC had a gimme game in conference against Stanford 42-0. And the Sec has a champion ship game the Pac 10 does not! Florida should play in the National title game pass USC and Michigan if they beat Arkansas. If they lose which their is a good chance because Arkansas is another one of those SEC teams then USC schould play. Actually we should be in front of Michigan but thats just my opinion I can understand how Michigan would be in front of Florida. But I dont understand how they can be behind USC but in front of Florida. They should either be in front of us both are behind us both! Im done

No, they can't. If USC wins, they are going to the BCS Championship Game. It comes down to who they played - USC has beaten stronger teams than Florida, even with the win in the SEC championship. If USC loses and Florida wins, it will be interesting to see how the polls change, which may move Florida up over Michigan; but since Michigan's only loss is to #1 and Florida's loss is to now #11, I don't see that move happening.

No chance - USC gets it if they beat UCLA - if not Michigan gets it. I believe that the SEC is the best conference in college football - but I don't see anyone in the SEC that could give Ohio State a good game. Florida is way to questionable on offense to challenge. USC and Michigan are the next two best teams. It pains me to say that since I love the Gators - but if you have watched any of these teams play - you know that what I say is true.

No, USC has the human pollsters' momentum and their three non- conference wins over Arkansas, Nebraska, and Notre Dame far outshine Florida's non-conference wins.
USC does not even have to whomp USC to get to #2 in the final BCS poll, and I say this as a USC hater.

highly unlikely. florida will have to make up a lot of ground in the percentages. keep in mind that you're talking about vaulting them over michigan and USC.

if the voters put florida at #2 in the USA Today and Harris polls, then there is a good chance. but if USC "whomps" ucla, they will probably remain #2.

No and even if USC loses, there is still Michigan.

4 Florida

That is a big negative. USC gets style points. They thump their opponents. Florida has won like 5 of their games by less than 7 points, and some of those wins were to crappy teams.

No. Not a chance and I am a die hard SEC fan. I cannot stand USC but you have to give them credit if they continue to run the table.

i find it kinda funny how usc was getting all the heat because of narrow wins in the beginning, and now its florida's turn.
