The perfect storyline for season 8, in my opinion, has already been written. I am the hugest fan of Buffy, I own all 7 seasons, all the books, all of SMG's movies, there's still more stuff to get though. Anyway, I bought a book called "Queen of The Slayers". It picks up right as they are driving the bus away from what is left of Sunnydale. Buffy moved to another country, I forgot which one, the whole gang moved there actually. Somehow, they got in touch with this man, he was a vampire (typical) who allowed them to move in to his mansion. The decided that they should find all the slayers, bring them to this big mansion, and Buffy would train them. Oh, and at this mansion, there was a pack of werewolves there, and Oz was there, he and Willow reunited. (not got back together, her and Kennedy have started a relationship) From that book, that would be perfect. You should buy it and read it.
Then I would add some. In "Angel" there was a couple of episodes that I would use. First, Angel went to these weird people and they made it possible for him to walk in the daylight. Then something went wrong and they had to take it back, or something like that, I only saw the episode one time. But, anyway, he spent the day with Buffy(she guest starred in the episode), they had a wonderful time, and decided to get back together. When it came time for him to go back to normal they only had one minute left. The catch was that he would remember it and she wouldn't. They held each other, and she cried, then after the minute, time went back to when she first showed up at his office that day. They never got back together, and she didn't remember anything. Ok, having said that I would make it so that him being able to be in daylight was permanent, and nothing went wrong.
The second episode that I spoke of in "Angel", Spike came back as a ghost. The tension between him and Angel, and the way that they acted was hilarious. I would keep that, add it into Season 8, and make it so that they find a way over time to bring him back.
One dilema, though, I'm not sure if i would have Angel and Buffy together or Spike and Buffy.
With Angel and Buffy, they were so in love, and it would be nice to see them together again. And have that damn curse fixed so that they could atleast have frickin sex, and him not turn evil, and there be no "remember and feel what you have done side effects".
Now with Spike, during the last episodes, he and buffy became close, I loved the one where she asked him to just hold her. I cried my eyes out when he died. (again)
I would also have it so Giles would find someone.
Two things that I would CHANGE about season 7:
1. Xander didn't get his eye poked out, that was really sad.
2. Anya didn't die, that was also very sad. With that change, in Season 8, her and Xander would finally get married. They go so good together.
3. Spike dying, but even if he did, I would go with the ghost = back to a vampire thing.
So, there you have it, may Buffy continue. I hope this didn't bore you to death.

They should have spun it off and had a series about the different slayers, how they all come to terms with it-good and bad, and could shown many new adventures that way. The old Scooby Gang could have taken the reigns and help guide them in a Watcher-like sense and Buffy could have been in charge of them all. No normal life for her. Just because there was suddenly an onslaught of slayers does not mean that they are all the best at what they do. That was Buffy, and she would have to lead them. Everyone needs a roll model, even Slayers.

More on the relationship between Buffy and Spike, maybe Willow can find a new person in her life whether it's a man or woman and Giles would fall in love. More interesting demons and ghouls, and of course more of Andrew being the loser in the group that gets picked on! I hope all the trainee slayers go away they ruin the show, maybe Buffy realise that there can only be one slayer who is her and the rest can just go back and sleep.

It would be hard to top the last episode in season 7. There are so many slayers now that Buffy could live a normal life so it probably wouldn't be too interesting.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for Angel. I thought that the ending for that was very disappointing, and since there are now hundreds/thousands of slayer in the world where were they all? That could be continued!
