Haiti has been in a Civil War for quite some time. The President was forced out by the "rebels" who now are killing everyone and everything! - The UN sent in Troops, US and Canada, to round up all the illegal weapons, but it is a loosing battle. Pray for the people of Haiti, they are being killed, starved, mistreated, by the hundreds every day. Be thankful to God that you are not living in this war torn country.

Aparently im not Haitian my finance is, I heard that there is a lot of crime in Haiti people killing innocent people,a lot rapes going on. I heard that they are holding family hostage and ask for a ransom and if the family does not have the money they kill everything they see. I also heard from a strong source that when people go home alot of criminals at the airport waiting for people to get on regular roads then they hijack the car and kill them, I heard that the same police at the airport are in the gangs so, even though it seems like they are directing traffic they are sending you to some dead end street so you can get robbed. I also heard the police there are on both sides because thats how they make there money on the side. so of course the Government need help with the crime rates. Hiati needs to get back on track and the only way this is going to happen is unless the US or the UN steps in.

The Haitians have been oppressed...usually the UN doesn't worry too much about politics, but the current system is causing millions of violations of human rights. It's really a humanitarian relief goal.
